Ella Louise Jackson

ELLA L. JACKSON, age 92, of Washington CH, passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at 8:05 a.m. at St. Catherine’s Manor of Washington CH.

She was born on December 23, 1928 in Greene County, Ohio to Rev. Roscoe and Malissa (Tomlinson) Jones. Ella was a homemaker and raised her seven children. She attended Heritage Memorial Church while living with her daughter and son-in-law. She enjoyed listening to the music of Elvis Presley, singing, doing crossword puzzles, and being with her family.

Ella was preceded in death by her parents; the father of her children, Coleman Richard Jackson, Jr.; sons, Harold Everhart and stillborn son, Paul Jackson; grandson, Justin Jackson; and siblings, Robert Jones, Russell Jones, Margaret Jackson, and Juanita Jones.

Survivors include her children, Betsy (Jim) Brady, Richard (Kathy) Jackson, Jonathon (Sue) Jackson, Timothy (Peggy) Jackson, Thomas (Mary Jane) Jackson, and Wanda Jackson; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of dear and special friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel L. Justice officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. In keeping with her wishes, her body was donated to Wright State University for the advancement of science. Interment will take place at the Milledgeville-Plymouth Cemetery at a later date.
