Frances Elaine Martin

FRANCES ELAINE MARTIN, age 85, of Washington Court House, passed away at 11:38 p.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Signature Healthcare of Fayette County. She was born on December 17, 1937 in Le Raysville, Pennsylvania to the late Harold and Irene R. Brink Hicks.

In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin on October 24, 2014 and an infant son, Jeffrey; her siblings, Carol Lantz, Patricia Hicks, Jane Sanders and Philip Hicks; her brothers in-law, Delmar Martin and Steven Martin.

Survivors include her daughter, Sandra (James) Wilson of Washington C.H.; her brother, Elbert (Carol) Hicks of Le Raysville, Pennsylvania; her sister, Joyce Sharer of Sugar Run, Pennsylvania and sister-in-law Sandra Martin of Richmond, Indiana; her grandchildren, Bryce (Julia) Wilson and Shelby (Jon) Wilson; great-grandchildren Mitchell and Theodore. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

In keeping with Frances’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time by the family.
