GARY BROOKS BROWDER, age 81, of Greenfield, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at his home. His death was sudden and unexpected.
He was born on March 19, 1943 in Fayette County to the late Willard Brooks and Alice Ferne (Davis) Browder. Gary was a graduate of Greenfield McClain High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Gary was an entrepreneur his whole life. He was a farmer, the owner of Browder Trucking for over thirty-five years, Browder Auto Sales, Southfork Salvage, and various real estate endeavors. He attended the Good Shepard Church of Christ in Greenfield. He enjoyed motorsports, going to antique/classic car shows, farming, and vacations to Florida.
Survivors include his children, Greg Browder, Steve (Pam) Browder, Rob Armbrust, and Jenna (Dan) Schinleber; grandchildren, Hillary Beatty, Alice Marie Browder, and Erin Browder; great-granddaughter, Emma Marsh; sister, Sherry Browder; and his significant other of twelve years, Janice Plymire. Also surviving are several cousins and a host of friends.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Washington Cemetery with Danny Dodds officiating.
