Georgia Maxine Knox

GEORGIA MAXINE KNOX, age 93, of Washington CH, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021 at 2:35 p.m. at St. Catherine’s Manor of Washington CH with her son by her side.

She was born on June 8, 1927 in South Solon, Ohio to George and Cyrena (Myers) Cave. She was a graduate of Jeffersonville High School. Georgia worked as a secretary for most of her life and retired from Quality Chevrolet in Columbus.

She was a faithful member at The Gathering Place Church. Georgia was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed dancing in her younger years, going to auctions and garage-sales with her husband, feeding her birds, loving her dogs, and being with her family.

Georgia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert C. Knox, whom she married on March 12, 1947; and brother, Roger Cave.

Survivors include her son, Randy Knox and his special friend, Judy Armstrong; grandchildren, G.R. Knox, and Samantha Knox; and her special friends, Ruth Kellis, and Karen Maxwell.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at The Gathering Place Church, 240 Courthouse Pkwy, Washington CH, OH 43160, with Pastor John Pfeifer officiating with burial to follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Jeffersonville. Family and friends may visit at the church on Thursday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
