Gloria Jean "Jeanie" Minshall

GLORIA JEAN “JEANIE” MINSHALL, age 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at her home while surrounded by her family.

She was born on May 5, 1942 in Circleville, Ohio to the late Eugene Wright and Evelyn Lucille (Boltenhouse) Wright. She was a 1960 graduate of Jeffersonville High School. Jeanie spent most of her life doing secretarial work for several local Physician’s including Dr. Hugh Payton, Dr. Kevin Sharrett, and Dr. Albert Gay; she had also worked at Morrow Funeral Home in Washington CH under the direction of David Morrow. She enjoyed being with her family and she adored her precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Jeanie was preceded in death by her son, Jeff Minshall; brother and sister-in-law, Larry (Marge) Wright; and in-laws, Robert (Georgia) Minshall.

Survivors include her loving and devoted husband, Robert Lee Minshall, whom she married on March 19, 1966; daughter, Mindy (Dustin) Mangan; grandchildren, Amanda Leisure, Lindsey (Austin) Rogers, Justin (Finny) Leisure, and Colton (Katie) Minshall; great-grandchildren, Kadence, Kyler, Jayden, Silas, and Emmery; daughter-in-law, Michele Minshall; sister-in-law, Ronette Dickey; and her dear friend, Valerie Gates. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton and Kristin Price for the excellent care they provided to Jeanie and her family during this difficult time.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Chaplain Steve Wetterhan officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.
