HAROLD “TRUMAN” RUNYON, age 75, of Washington CH, passed away on Friday, February 19, 2021 at 12:04 a.m. at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
He was born on April 16, 1945 in Wharton, West Virginia to Fred and Cleo (Cunningham) Runyon. After high school graduation in 1964, he proudly joined the US Marine Corps and served in Vietnam. Truman worked as a cook at the TA in Jeffersonville at US 35 and I-71 until his retirement. He enjoyed assisting the Miami Trace football team and the boys’ and girls’ basketball programs for more than twenty years. Truman was a kind soul and will be truly missed by his Miami Trace Athletic family.
Truman was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Doug Runyon, James Runyon, Richard Runyon, Fred Runyon, Ray Runyon, Trudy Mounts, Myrtle Loraine Darling, and Velma Maynard.
Survivors include his sister, Juanita Yeager of Gordon, West Virginia. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of dear and special friends.
In keeping wish his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Summers Funeral Home to help cover his final expenses.
