Heather Dawn Edwards

HEATHER DAWN EDWARDS, age 37, of Bloomingburg, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 2:51 a.m. at the OSU Wexner Medical Center.

She was born on November 4, 1979 in Ross County to David Nickell and Sheila Oakes Acton. She was a 1998 graduate of McClain High School and also had attended Southern State Community College. Heather had worked at the former Frisch’s of Greenfield where she met her husband, Joe. She loved being a mom, cooking, ice cream and was an avid fan of the Buckeyes and Cincinnati Reds.

Heather is survived by her husband, Joe Edwards, whom she married on August 15, 1998; her children, Taylor and Prestin Edwards; parents, David (Jeni) Nickell and Sheila Acton and fiancé, Larry Ging; sister, Elizabeth (Brice) Redman; step-sisters, Jayme and Donnie; nephews, Bowen and Bryer Redman; mother-in-law, Lynette Kinnison, sister and brothers-in-law, Kari Kinnison, Travis Kinnison, Wyatt Edwards and Robert Edwards. She is also survived by her feline companion, Sylvester.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, September 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, 301 E. East St., with Pastor Joe Current officiating with burial to follow at the Bloomingburg Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Sunday from 3-6 p.m.
