Helen Louise Terrell

HELEN LOUISE TERRELL, age 80, of Washington CH, passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021 at 6:15 a.m. at the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe.

She was born on January 30, 1941 in Fayette County to Clifford and Kathryn (Penrod) Smith. She was a 1959 graduate of Washington High School. Helen worked as a teacher’s aide for many years at the Fayette Progressive School and later retired from the Starting Gate. She was a member at the Grace United Methodist Church. Helen was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She enjoyed going to the casino, working in her yard and being with her beloved family and grandchildren.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank Lee Terrell; granddaughter, Jessica Lynn Terrell; and siblings, Harold Smith, Jean Smith-Aby, and Mary Knedler.

Survivors include her children, Todd Terrell, Tyler (Cheree) Terrell, and Tony (Stacia) Terrell; grandchildren, Mackenzie Lee Terrell, Conner Jacob Terrell, Kelsee Ann Terrell, and Tieryn Xana Terrell; great-grandson, Felix Flangos; and her significant other of 18 years, Dan Leaverton. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of dear and special friends.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Mell Wickensimer officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service.
