Herman Willis "Billy" Dryden Obituary

HERMAN WILLIS “BILLY” DRYDEN, age 80, of Washington CH, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2024 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus.

He was born on January 22, 1944 in Adams County, Ohio to the late Herman and Gloria (Oursler) Dryden. He attended Manchester High School in Manchester, Ohio. Billy worked as a farmhand for several different farmers throughout the years. He attended the South Side Church of Christ. He enjoyed fishing, attending church, helping others, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his twin sons, Brett Michael Dryden, and Bart Nicholas Dryden, and brother, Robert Dryden.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Nancy Carol (McCarty) Dryden, whom he married on June 19, 1971; his son, Tony (Holly) Dryden; grandchildren, Megan Smith, and Halley (Chandler) Turner; siblings, Pauline (David) Hudnell, Sheila Dryden, Tammy Dryden, and Steve (Superb) Dryden; and special aunt, Mabel Napier. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Todd Maurer officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
