JACKIE “JACK” DEAN WHEELER, age 82 of Washington Court House, passed away on October 14, 2021 at his home. Born on October 6, 1939 in Fayette County, he was the son of the late William “Bill” and Flossie Yarger Wheeler.
Survivors include his children; Kimberly Steward, Kevin (Dee Dee) Wheeler and Kami Wheeler all of Washington Court House, two grandchildren; Sasha and Nathan (Meggan) Wheeler, two great-grandchildren; Avah Ruggles and Camden Wheeler; one brother; Tom Wheeler of Washington Court House and two sisters; Lulu Belle Wheeler and Libbie Dunn both of Washington Court House. Along with his parents, Jack was preceded in death by four brothers; Charlie, Jim, Harry and Scott Wheeler, one sister; Wanda Lu Wheeler and the mother of his children; Connie Shiltz.
Jack had attended school at Miami Trace. He liked horse racing, playing cards, playing pool and fishing. He also enjoyed hunting mushrooms, often walking several miles to find them. Jack was known to sell produce at several places around town and could be found most of the time drinking morning coffee with his buddies at Burger King.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 in the Milledgeville-Plymouth Cemetery with Danny Dodds officiating. Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Summers Funeral Home.
