Jack William Matthews

JACK WILLIAM MATTHEWS, age 86, of Washington CH, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 23, 2025 at the Adena Fayette Medical Center.

He was born on July 8, 1939 in Washington CH to the late Edgar and Alberta (Horney) Matthews. He was a 1958 graduate of Washington High School. Jack was a self-employed truck driver for most of his life. He enjoyed working in his yard, tinkering with cars, and he could build anything and everything. He was an all-around handyman.

In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his sister, Barb DeWeese.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Sandra Ann (Lane) Matthews, whom he married on February 6, 1959; his children, Kimberly Matthews, Karen (Larry) Six, Kathy (Bo Hagler) Stuckey, and Jack II (Blair) Matthews; grandchildren, Jason Matthews, Holly Justice, Matthew Six, Zachary (Jessica) Six, Kami (Frank) Stuckey, and Amber Stuckey; great-grandchildren, Liam, Wren, Faye, Taylor, Jacie, Logan, Kenley, Nevada, Cali, Isaac, Archer, Lexi, Andrae, Valencia, and Elena; and his forever canine companion, Harry.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
