James Dean "Jim" Ingram Obituary

JAMES DEAN “JIM” INGRAM, age 59, of Washington CH, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2024 at his home after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer.

He was born on June 21, 1964 in Fayette County to the late Kellis Smith and Shirley Ann (Morris) Ingram. He obtained his GED and worked as a self-employed contractor until his health would no longer allow. He was an honorary member of the New Freedom Community Church in Portsmouth, Ohio. He enjoyed participating in demolition derby’s, woodworking, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his father, Tom Sears; his first wife and mother of three of his children, Suzanne (Mock) Ingram; son, James Dean “Jimmy” Ingram, Jr.; and father-in-law, Lewis George.

Survivors include his mother, Sheila Sears; his wife, Mary Ingram, whom he married on November 1, 2002; children, Nicole (Tom) Helton, Shirley (Lyle) Gutnecht, Mika Ingram, Shyane Ingram, Makenna Allen, and Mason Allen; numerous grandchildren; siblings, Mary Lynn Ingram-Seibers, Beth Sears, Rnee Sears, and Rick Hodge; brothers-in-law, Danny Camp, and Randy Cline; mother-in-law, Mildred Robinson; and friend, Cindy Allen.

Memorial donations are suggested to Ohio’s Hospice of Fayette County, 222 N. Oakland Ave., Washington CH, OH 43160.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at the Summers Funeral Home from 11-1:00 p.m. with cremation to follow.
