Obituary

JAMES EVERETT “JIM” WHALEY, age 81, of Washington CH, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Four Seasons of Washington Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born on October 8, 1939 in Fayette County to Raymond and Bertha (Vest) Whaley. He had attended school at Good Hope and Washington City Schools. Jim retired from the former Dairy Factory in Washington CH where he had worked as a plant supervisor. Jim was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He enjoyed watching old westerns, fishing, and being with his family.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Raymond Whaley, Paul Whaley, Ruth Groves, and Shirley Bellar.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel Jane (Stolzenburg) Whaley, whom he married on May 22, 1962; his sons, Robert Whaley and his ex-wife, Kathy Whaley, and Frankie (Amanda) Whaley; grandchildren, Alexander Whaley, Brendin Whaley, Cayden Whaley, Darrian Whaley, and Eli Whaley; great-granddaughter, Abigail Whatley; sisters, Nancy (Danny) Bryant, and Vickie Mason; and special nieces, Rita Groves, Patricia Williamson, and Tina Graham. Also surviving are other nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of dear and special friends.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
