James L. Benson, Sr.

JAMES L. BENSON, SR., age 81, of Washington CH, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025. His death was sudden and unexpected.

He was born on July 4, 1943 in California. James enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and was an avid Ohio State and Cincinnati Bengals fan.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Garnetta Faye Benson, whom he married on October 26, 1962; his son, James Benson, Jr.; and siblings, Jodi and Mike.

Survivors include his son, Marty Benson; grandchildren, Brittany (Rusty) Taylor, Tyler (Sierra) Pack, and Bethany Benson; great-grandchildren, Loreli, Arian, Angelina, Isabella, Brianna, Christian, Rakeya, Averiella, and Keauna; and sisters, Jeannie (Rick) Scarberry, and Susie (Bruce) Houp. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, and friends.

Cremation has taken place, and burial will be held at the Washington Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
