James Stewart Obituary

JAMES WILLIAM ATON STEWART, age 54, of Washington CH, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at 6:16 p.m. at Mount Carmel Grove City.

He was born on November 3, 1965 in Fayette County to John Albert Sr. and Margaret Louise Williams Stewart. He grew up in The Short North, Columbus area. James was self-employed as a residential painter for many years. He enjoyed singing, listening to country music, working on hot rods, and collecting guns.

James was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Cheyenne Marie Gilbert; siblings, Shannon Stewart, Johnny Stewart Jr., Jason Frisbie, Janine Frisbie, Kelly Frisbie, Debbie Frisbie, Becky Frisbie, and Jackie Frisbie; and special uncle, Jerry Stewart.

Survivors include his children, James Eugene “Jes” Stewart and his significant other, Jackie Brittingham, Chelsi Marie (Jeremy) Gilbert, Christopher Matthew (Betsy Ann) Stewart, and Carson James William Stewart; grandchildren, Noah James Stewart, Shayleigh June Stewart, Carter Mackenzie Stewart, Jaidan Rayne Marie Gilbert, Isaac Ray Scott Gilbert, and MaLeah Sue Gilbert; the mother of his children, Angela Zurface; siblings, Mary (Mark) Ycaza, and Christopher Frisbie. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

Interment will be held on Friday, August 7, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Washington Cemetery.
