Jane Elaine Jones

JANE ELAINE JONES, age 81, of Washington Court House, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2025, at her home. Born on June 1, 1944, in Fayette County, she was the daughter of the late John and Dorothy Ervin Phillips.

Jane attended school in Washington C.H., she had previously worked at Thatcher’s Plastics and was a wonderful homemaker raising children with her husband. Jane enjoyed playing Bingo, going to auctions and yard sales and sitting on the front porch with her friends and family. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids.

Survivors include her children, Crystal (Wayne) Carmen, Carolyn Jones and Herbie (Sandy) Jones; seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild on their way. Also surviving is her siblings, Judson Phillips and Judy Sanderson along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

In addition to her parents, Jane is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Jones in 2010; six brothers, one sister, one daughter and two grandchildren.

In keeping with Jane’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and no services will be held.
