JANET “NADINE” EMRICK, age 80, of Washington CH, passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at 3:22 p.m. at her home while surrounded by her family.
She was born on November 21, 1941 in Bloomingburg to Charles S. “Jimmy” and Ruth A. (Sexten) Noble. She was a 1959 graduate of Bloomingburg High School. Nadine worked in Registration at Fayette County Memorial Hospital and retired in 2006. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed traveling with her friends and being with her beloved family and grandchildren.
Nadine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leo Ross Emrick, whom she married on October 12, 1959; grandson, Derek Ross Stockwell; siblings, Bud (Viola) Sexten and Norma Jean (Robert) Dennis; and brother-in-law, Ted Boldman.
Survivors include her children, Ross Emrick and his significant other, Nina Ritchie and Cheryl (Creg) Stockwell; grandchildren, Drake Alan (Courtney) Emrick, Makayla Smith, and Brandon Creg (Colleen) Stockwell; great-grandchildren, Zander, Kyler, and Rezner; sister, Patty Boldman; brothers-in-law, John (Kay) Emrick and Norman West; sisters-in-law, Pat (Gary) Wisecup, Joyce Emrick, and Marcella Emrick; and her best friend, Audrey Miller. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of dear and special friends.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Billie Warner officiating with burial to follow at the Highlawn Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
