Jeffrey Lyn "Jeff" Burson

JEFFREY LYN “JEFF” BURSON, age 71, of Milledgeville, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024 peacefully at his home.

He was born on September 8, 1953 in Fayette County to the late William Muriel and Annabelle Marie (Mongold) Burson. He was a 1971 graduate of Miami Trace High School. Jeff enjoyed watching his three sons play baseball as children, watching his boys grow into men and have children of their own and spending time with his seven grandchildren.

Jeff enjoyed taking pictures of his many adventures of beautiful places and nature. He also loved riding his motorcycle.

Jeff retired from the Correctional Reception Center in Orient after twenty-six years of service as a Correctional Officer for the State of Ohio.

Survivors include his three sons, Richard (Shawnda) Burson, Chuck (Anna) Burson, and Chris (Krista) Burson; grandchildren, Ashley, Zach, and Jordan Burson, Justin Burson, and Norah, Jennah, and Dalelyn Burson; his best friend, Jax; the mother of his children, Nola Ann Humphrey; and his sisters, Becky Stirr, Carol Dement, and Sharon Ford. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

In keeping with Jeff’s wishes, cremation has taken place and all he asked was for his ashes to be spread somewhere beautiful.
