JERRY LEE BRYAN, age 70, of Washington CH, passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 11:21 p.m. at his home following a courageous battle with colon cancer.
He was born on May 10, 1951 in Fayette County to James and Lilly (Shorts) Bryan. Jerry was self-employed and owned and operated the B&B Construction Company; he had also worked at Sugarcreek Packing Company and The Bryan Stables. Jerry proudly served his country in US Army during Vietnam. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching harness racing at the local fairs, drag racing, working on cars, and most importantly, he loved being with his family most of all.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Linda Lou (Spengler) Bryan, whom he married on December 25, 1974; brother, Robert Bryan; and sister-in-law, Floree Bryan.
Survivors include his daughter and her husband, Lori Lynn and Michael Lowman; and sister, Joyce Arledge Spradlin. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of friends.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Steve Henderson officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 4-7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made in Jerry’s name to: The Fayette County Harness Horseman’s Association, the Fayette County Dog Shelter, or The Fayette County Hospice.
