Obituary

JOANN BARNHART, age 65, of Mt. Sterling, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.

She was born on October 22, 1957 in Fayette County to the late Dane E. and Mary A. (Coder) Barnhart. She was a 1977 graduate of Miami Trace High School. JoAnn worked as a cook at Frisch’s Big Boy in Washington CH for thirty-two years. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, JoAnn was preceded in death by her special cousin, Carl Barnhart.

Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, Rick (Lori) Barnhart; nieces, Darcy (BJ) Jackson, Keri (Skyler) Robertson, and Katelynn Barnhart and her boyfriend, Zak Bushey; nephew, Cameron Barnhart; great nieces and nephews, Craig, Cody, Zadn, Jadn, Payton, Madison, and Laura; ex-sister-in-law, Donna Hughes; cousin, Ruby Bears; and special friends, Missy Farley, Linda Storer, and Joyce Price.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Summers Funeral Home to help with final expenses.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
