Obituary

JOE DALE BELL, age 53, of Washington CH, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at 6:27 p.m. at his home after a long and difficult battle with cancer.

He was born on June 27, 1967 in Fayette County to Forrest Dale and Dorothy Irene (Baker) Bell. He was a 1985 graduate of Miami Trace High School. After high school, Joe proudly served his country in the US Navy and was stationed on the USS Missouri BB 63. Joe recently retired from Chrisman H20 Conditioning after 25 years of service.

“Joe was a passionate person who never met a stranger. When he ran into people, friends, customers, or anyone who wanted to talk; it made him happy to do just that. He loved his job and his customers, and many felt the same about him. Joe enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, reading books about the Amish Culture and books about God. He loved going to the Amish Store on the weekend to shop and was fascinated by their way of life and their delicious food.”

Joe is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Bell; sisters, Diane Bell, Debbie Marrow, and Tammy Jacobs; and his uncle, Kerry “Termite” Bell.

Survivors include his father, Dale Bell; his loving wife, Melinda Sue (Parrish) Bell, whom he married on June 27, 2020; children, Brandi (Zach) Hidalgo of Port Orchard, Washington, Brody Adkins of Enon, Dillon (Amber) Wilson of South Salem, Cole (Kelsey) Wilson of South Salem, Allen (Kenzie) Snyder-Wilson of Lynchburg, and Samantha (Chad) McDaniels of Washington CH; grandchildren, Riley Joe Hidalgo, Kolston Wilson, Kracin Wilson, Baby K Wilson, Alie Wilson, Sadi Wilson, Remi Wilson, Quinton Snyder-Wilson, Justin Humphrey, Mekka Evans, Austin Knisley, and Chelsey Adkins; great-grandchildren, Bryson, Landon, Jordan, Aubree, Kayliauna, Paisley, Payton, and Mason; and siblings, Vonda (Dan) Helsel, Michael Bell, Crystal (Mike) Mickle, and Dennis (Kathy) Clay.
