JOYCE ANN JUSTICE, age 72, of Washington CH, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at 8:05 p.m. at her daughter’s home.
She was born on September 30, 1946 in Jeffersonville, Ohio to Harlan and Maggie Mae Chapman Saxton. Joyce was a hard worker all of her life. She retired from Frisch’s after thirty-three years of service. Joyce then joined both of her daughter’s at IHS where she helped with special needs for eleven years until her battle with lung cancer progressed. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed crocheting, collecting coins, horses, and being with her family.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Michael Eugene Justice; daughter, Tonda Kay Lute; son, Bart Lee Lute; grandson, Tucker James Lute; and siblings, Ari (Susie) Saxton, Ivan (Barbara) Saxton, Charles (Sandy) Saxton, Larry Saxton, Vernon Saxton, Emery (Debbie) Saxton, Rosie (Billy) Green, and Alice (Kenny) Stone.
Survivors include her children, Denise (Todd) Williamson, and Kim Moore and her fiancé, Jeff Rogers; grandchildren, Michael Shain Rayburn, Jacob Moore, Brandon (Christina) Lute, and Justin Moore; great-grandchildren, Kyra McKenzie, Asher, Ruby, Ari, Jonah, Timothy, and Ester Sophia; and sisters, Mary Kinzer, and Linda Saxton. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Brandon Lute officiating with burial to follow at the Highlawn Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
