Judith E. Simpkins

JUDITH E. SIMPKINS, age 86, of Hilliard, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at the Darby Glenn Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Hillard.

She was born on April 30, 1938 in Pike County to the late Henry and Clara (Stultz) Crum. She was a graduate of Washington High School. Judith was a homemaker and stay at home mother. Although she had trouble with her vision, she continued to enjoy crocheting, crafting, spending time with her family, and was an avid history buff.

In addition to her parents, Judith was preceded in death by her husband, Harless Simpkins, stepson, Bob Wilson, and ten siblings.

Survivors include her children, Joseph (Jeanette) Wilson, Donna Chamblin, and Brian Wilson; stepdaughter, Cindy Wilson; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sister, Saundra (Steve Greer) Crum Akers. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Dana A. Langford officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
