Laverna Jane "Fiffi" Paul

LAVERNA JANE “FIFFI” PAUL, age 74, of Kettering, Ohio, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024 in Centerville, Ohio.

Born January 18, 1950 in Washington CH, she was the daughter of the late James Porter and Helen Louise (Fraysier) Merritt.

She was a retiree of Fayette County Memorial Hospital. Fiffi loved spending time with her grandchildren, traveling, especially to the beach, reading, and enjoying her favorite shows. She was an avid lifelong Ohio State Buckeye fan.

Survivors include her beloved husband of nearly 60 years (married 1968), Gary Paul; daughters Erica (John) Mersfelder of Oakwood, Ohio and Jessica (Jesse) Williams of Kettering, Ohio; and five grandchildren, Mara, Liam, Ava, Delaney, and Aaron.

In addition to her parents, Fiffi was preceded in death by her siblings, James “Jim” Merritt, and Barbara “Barb” Fletcher.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024 at 12:30 p.m. at the Washington Cemetery with Joy Stanforth officiating. Family and friends may visit at the Summers Funeral Home, 223 W. Market St., Washington CH, OH 43160, on Friday morning from 11-12:00 p.m.
