LINDSEY NICHOLE WHALEY-BURT, age 29, of Jeffersonville, passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at her home.
She was born on March 4, 1992 in Fayette County to James Paul “Jim” Burt II and Kimberly Jo “Kim” (Whaley) Nichols. Lindsey was last employed at the Yusa Corporation in Washington CH but was currently taking classes to become a Veterinary Technician. She attended church with her grandmother at the First Church of God on Harrison St. Lindsey was a loving and devoted daughter, granddaughter, sister, and aunt. She enjoyed fishing, singing, dancing, laughing, and was an avid animal lover.
Lindsey was preceded in death by her grandfather, James Paul Burt; and great-grandmothers, Janice Elliott, and Beatrice Roberts.
Survivors include her parents, Jim Burt II and Kim Nichols; siblings, Shonna (Matthew) Geddes, James Paul Burt III, Brooklyn Looker, and Madison Looker; nieces, McKenna, Allison, and Lydia; nephew, James; grandparents, Patricia Lynn Burt, and Jerry and Brenda Picklesimer; great-grandfather, James Elliott; and her beloved pets, Cooper, Donald, Lucy, and Molly. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of dear and special friends.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Barry Pettit officiating with a special prayer being offered by Pastor Patrick Gamble. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday evening from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.
