Obituary

LISA JUNE BARRETT, age 60, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022 at 7:20 p.m. at Edgewood Manor of Lucasville.

She was born on June 3, 1962 in Putnam County, New York to the late Joseph Michael and Beatrice Marie (Hunt) Said. Lisa had worked as a deli manager at a supermarket in New York for many years. She was an “exceptional” grandmother to her grandchildren. She enjoyed playing online poker, reading, cooking, and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Lisa was preceded in death by her siblings, Michael Said, Lloyd Henry Brown, Jr., and Andre Said.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Shaunte and Anthony Rhodes of New Paltz, New York; grandchildren, Mariah-Lynn Hess, Rachel Hess, and Shawn Hess, Jr.; siblings, Anna (Martin) Dailey, Paula Cypher, Jody (David) Mima, Elizabeth (Steve) Gullett, and Dawn Brown; and aunt, Elizabeth (Dale) Montgomery. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

In keeping with Lisa’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
