Martha Lou Madden

MARTHA LOU MADDEN, age 85, of Sedalia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at Doctor’s West Hospital in Columbus.

She was born on December 6, 1938 in Fayette County to the late Floyd R. and Grace L. (Lewis) Halterman. She was a 1957 graduate of Jeffersonville High School. Martha was a homemaker and stay-at-home mother, she and her late husband; Delbert raised their three sons together. She enjoyed watching soap operas, gardening, spending time with her family and grandchildren, and was an avid Ohio State fan.

In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Ted Madden, whom she married on September 11, 1960; infant son, Dallas King Madden; and sister, Lida Halterman.

Survivors include her sons, Randy Ray (Jean) Madden, Travis Jay Madden, and Derek Ted (Whitney) Madden; grandchildren, Jessica, Devin, Michael, Natalie, Ted, Grace, and River; and brother, Eddie (Barb) Halterman. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 7, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fairview Cemetery in Jeffersonville.
