MELINDA C. “LINDA” GRIM, age 73, of Washington CH, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at 8:30 a.m. at Four Seasons of Washington Nursing and Rehabilitation.
She was born on August 25, 1948 in Wise County, Virginia to the late Jackson and Nora Elizabeth (Smith) Jessee. She was a 1966 graduate of J.J. Kelly High School in Virginia. Linda retired in 2009 from the Fayette County Treasurer’s Office where she served as Deputy Treasurer. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, Mimi, and Sassy Ma. Linda was a faithful member at The Gathering Place Church. She enjoyed reading the Bible, bringing people to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, shopping, traveling with her husband, and spending time with her beloved family.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her siblings, Jacqueline Stallard, Ralph “Bud” Jessee, Jo Lynn Stephens, Larry Jessee, David Wayne “DW” Jessee, Helen Hoffman, Greta Halcomb, and Sybil Beetler.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Stephen Grim, whom she married on June 25, 1992; children, Shayne (Carla) Moore, Jayson Moore, and Julie (Troy) Noble; step-daughters, Amy (Greg) Erlanger, and Misty (Kevin) Keninitz; grandchildren, McKenzie, Kyleigh, Saylor, Keenan, Tyler, Kendall, and Nick; and brothers, Ray (Peggy) Jessee, and Ronnie (Debbie) Jessee. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of dear and special friends.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at The Gathering Place Church, 240 Courthouse Pkwy, Washington CH, OH 43160, with Pastor John Pfeifer officiating with burial to follow at the Madison Mills Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the church on Tuesday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
