Michael L. Evans

MICHAEL L. EVANS, age 62, of New Holland, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at 1:25 a.m. at the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe.

He was born on June 25, 1959 in Fayette County to Marcus and Helen (Shiltz) Evans. He attended Adena High School in Frankfort, Ohio. Michael worked as a machine operator at Intelligrated in London for many years. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding his motorcycle working on his Jeep.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, David Evans, Helen Estel, Bob Evans, Mary LeMaster, and Sharon Evans.

Survivors include his wife, Richelle Sue (Shadley) Evans, whom he married on July 22, 1980; children, Damien (Brandi) Evans, and Dana (John) Liff; grandchildren, Brock (Grace) Liff, Carolyn (Hunner) Liff, and Holden Evans; step-grandchildren, David (Brittany) Mongold, Dominick Mongold, Breelynn Mongold, Brayden Mongold, and Bryson Mongold; great-grandson, Layton Mongold; brother, Dale Evans; brother-in-law, Lester LeMaster; sisters-in-law, Joy Reynolds, and Tammy (Dave) McWilliams; and his best friend, Randy Roher. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Hodge officiating with burial to follow at the New Holland Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
