Michele Renee (Penwell) "Shelly" Allen

MICHELE RENEE (PENWELL) “SHELLY” ALLEN, age 55, of Washington CH, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe following a brief stay.

She was born on March 27, 1969 in Fayette County to the late Eddie Ray, Sr. and Shirley Mae (Harrison) Penwell.

Shelly was best described as the life of the party. She was sure to bring a smile and a laugh to anyone who crossed her path. Shelly was a beloved resident at Cedarvale Commons, formerly Signature Healthcare of Fayette County. Cedarvale Commons was “home” to her since 2021.

She was loved by so many friends and by her family at Cedarvale. Shelly loved her family dearly, often reminiscent of her life throughout the years. She will be deeply missed but her family and friends find comfort in knowing she is spending eternity in Heaven and doing all her favorite things.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at 12:30 p.m. at the Highlawn Cemetery with Chaplain Dee Harris officiating. Family and friends may visit at the Summers Funeral Home on Wednesday morning from 11-12:00 p.m.
