NANCY ELIZABETH PITZER, age 80, of Washington CH, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Adena Fayette Medical Center.
She was born on March 19, 1941 in Circleville, Ohio to William Howard and Nellie Elizabeth (Arledge) Nessell. She was a 1959 graduate of Bloomingburg High School. After high school, Nancy attended Wilmington College. She worked at the Fayette County Treasurer’s Office for over twenty years. Nancy was a longtime member at Heritage Memorial Church; she and her husband, Fred managed the food pantry for several years. She enjoyed cake decorating, playing euchre and canasta, talking on the phone and blessing others with her personal cards.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and in-laws, Fred and Freda Pitzer.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Frederick Arthur “Fred” Pitzer; brothers-in-law, Jim (Sue) Pitzer and Dan Pitzer; and special friends, Mark Barker, Kevin Blair, Jo Orr, Bonnie Phillips, Karen Easterday, Doug Phillips, Julie Shonkwiler and Randy and Dawn Jamison. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Heritage Memorial Church with Rev. Joe Duvall officiating. Family and friends may visit at the church on Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Those in attendance are asked to wear a mask or other facial covering.
