NAOMI SUE THOMAS, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2024, at the age of 80. Born on December 24, 1943, Naomi lived a life full of love, kindness, and dedication to her family and community. Naomi was the devoted wife of Robert Parker "Bob" Thomas, with whom she shared many beautiful years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with love, respect, and unwavering support for one another. Her presence was a source of comfort and strength for Bob and all who knew her. Naomi was a loving and proud mother to her five children: Robin (Bill) Pressler, Angela Lovett, Tracy (Mark) Hunley, Jennifer Hamilton, and Bobby (Shannon) Thomas. Her children were the light of her life, and she instilled in them the values of kindness, perseverance, and family. She was also a devoted grandmother to her twelve grandchildren and a cherished great-grandmother to her eighteen great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy and pride into her life. Her love for her family was boundless, and her legacy will live on through the generations she helped nurture. Known for her warm heart and generous spirit, Naomi was a pillar of strength in her community and cherished by many. She touched countless lives with her compassion, always offering a helping hand to those in need. In addition to her husband Bob, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, Naomi leaves behind a legacy of love and memories that will forever be treasured by all who knew her.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Williford officiating with burial to follow at the Bloomingburg Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5-7:00 p.m. and again on Friday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
