OSCAR CAMPBELL PARKS, II, age 65, of Washington CH, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 28, 2026.
He was born on December 2, 1960 in Washington CH to Melvin Ernest and Anna Louise (Amspaugh) Parks. He was a 1980 graduate of Miami Trace High School. Oscar was a truck driver for most of his life and worked as a farm hand. His family described him as, “stubborn, hardheaded, and extremely onery!” He loved working and driving his truck, he and his son enjoyed riding snow mobiles, and he was a dog lover.
Oscar was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Parks, and a sister, Susan Spears.
Survivors include his mother, Anna “Amy” Parks; his son and daughter-in-law, J. and Melody Parks; granddaughter, Emma J. Parks; and siblings, Vicki Parks, and Junior (Flossy) Parks. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, cousins, along with a host of friends.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, February 2, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Danny Dodds officiating with burial to follow at the South Solon Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
