Patricia Louise (Throckmorton) Anderson

PATRICIA LOUISE (THROCKMORTON) ANDERSON, age 65, of Washington CH, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, May 30, 2024 at Miami Valley Hospital following a brief illness.

She was born on June 21, 1958 in Ames, Iowa to the late Wayne Wilson and Betty Louise (Gilchrist) Throckmorton. She was a 1976 graduate of New Albany High School in New Albany, Mississippi and a graduate of Blue Mountain College where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in Education. “Miss Patty,” as she was lovingly known, was a teacher, a writer, a skilled seamstress, and a homemaker. She was the true definition of a Southern belle; sweet, kind, gentle natured, fun loving, and her charm would light up a room. She enjoyed sewing, singing and playing ukulele with her loving husband, Steve, crocheting and crafting, dancing and listening to good music, long rides through the countryside, creating YouTube and Facebook content, and spending time with her beautiful family.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her first husband, James Emmett Mays, III and her beloved son, Justin Matthew Mays.

Survivors include her loving husband, Steven Wilson Anderson, whom she married on October 23, 2023; her daughter, Savannah (Ryan Rogers) Mays; grandchildren, Arabella Cadena, and Caleb Coltharp; siblings, David Throckmorton, and Teri Elrod; and her nephew, Joshua Throckmorton. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of special friends who she considered family.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
