PHILIP WESLEY “PHIL” DORN, age 63, of Washington CH, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 23, 2025.
He was born on December 2, 1961 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Donald Lee and Vernamae (Robinson) Dorn. He graduated valedictorian in 1980 from Madison Plains High School. After high school, he attended two years at ATI in Wooster, Ohio, and later graduated valedictorian of his class at the Circleville Bible College. Phil worked for PIC North American Genetics and traveled around the world with his job. He was a faithful member at Heritage Church and was heavily involved in missions. He had a passion for farming and raising livestock.
In addition to his parents, Phil was preceded in death by his brothers, Mike Dorn, and Stephen Dorn; niece, Leslie Hamby; and nephew, Ian Hamby.
Survivors include his stepchildren, Kyle (Kristi) Galecki, and Camille (Kevin) Kewer; and siblings, Debbie (Rick) Hamby, and Connie (Roger) Parker. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Heritage Church with Rev. Joe Duvall officiating. Family and friends may visit at the church on Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Range Township Cemetery.
