PRISCILLA KAYE BARNETT, age 72, of Greenfield, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 5:40 p.m. at Hearth and Care of Greenfield.
She was born on June 6, 1943 in Campton, Kentucky to Alton and Lola Banks Hammond. She was a member of the Samantha Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, the great outdoors and cooking. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Priscilla was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, John Barnett, siblings Jim, Donald, Gary, Lonnie, Ruby, Patricia, Brenda, Josephine and Christine and son-in-law Steve Tong.
Survivors include her children Sharon Tong, Lola (Robert) Ledbetter, Johnny (O’Kim) Barnett, Melanie (Kevin) Hammon, Melissa Curry, Regina (Carl) Strayer, John (Peggy) Barnett and Gabriella (Michael) Jordan; grandchildren Sarah, Uriah, Brandon, Amber, Billie Jo, Joshua, Ashley, Randy, Riley, Jamison, Miranda, Jason, Clayton, Priscilla, Carly, Diesel, Cole, Rhea, Rhyla and Rory; great-grandchildren Jaden, Noah, Thaddius, Jonah, Nathias, Silas, Ambreach, Michael, Jacob, Issiah, Cali, Parker, Brooklin, Chayse, Madison, Olivia, Jon, River, Morgan and Bentley; siblings Jane Stamper, Marie Ernest, Mary Montgomery, Terri Pack, Mike Hammond and Barbara Gumz as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 31, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Rev. Wiley Perkins officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial of the cremains will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
