Rachel Marie Russell

RACHEL MARIE RUSSELL, age 43, of Chillicothe, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at her home. Her death was sudden and unexpected.

She was born on July 13, 1982 in Columbus, Ohio to Robert Lee and Margaret Ruth (Nelson) Lloyd. She attended Westland High School in Galloway, Ohio. She was a homemaker and stay-at-home mother for most of her life. Rachel attended the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Chillicothe. She enjoyed crafting, reading her Bible, baking, dog training, and she loved yellow butterflies.

Rachel was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Maxine Leonard; maternal grandparents, William and Mary Nelson; uncle, Clarence Nelson; and father-in-law, Leonard Sines.

Survivors include her parents, Robert (Cindy) Lloyd, and Margaret (Bill) Hunsicker; her children, Brian Whitesel, Sophia (Blake) Laymon, and Noah Whitesel; grandchild, Baby Laymon coming soon; her fiancé and love of her life, Clinton Sines; stepdaughters, Breann Sines, and Kayla (Jarod) Bellar; granddaughter, Lainey Michael; mother-in-law, Bonnie Sines; siblings, Travis (Amanda) Lloyd, Amelia Hunsicker, Mary Hunsicker, Doug (Jessica) Hunsicker, Michelle (Mike) Wolfe, Victoria Hunsicker, Amy Stonerock, and Katie (Kory) Sinnock; and her forever faithful canine companions, Fernando and Nina. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, along with a host of friends.

A viewing will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026 at the Summers Funeral Home, 223 W. Market St., Washington CH, OH 43160, from 4-6:00 p.m.
