RALPH EDWARD HINKLEY, age 70, of Washington CH, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at 8:35 a.m. at his home.
He was born on April 3, 1952 in Greenfield, Ohio to Orville and Mary (Blevins) Hinkley. He was a graduate of Washington High School. After high school, Ralph proudly served his county in US Marine Corps. Ralph retired in 2009 after 30 years of service as a Correctional Officer with Pickaway Correctional Institution. He was a member at the South Side Church of Christ. Ralph was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He enjoyed serving the Lord, helping others, and spending time with his family and great-grandson, Grady.
In addition to his parents; Ralph was preceded in death by his daughter and son-in-law, Gary and Peggy Pettit; siblings, Melvin Hinkley, Marilyn Rinehart, and Shirley Detty; and niece, Lanora Lynn Havens.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel Frances (Young) Hinkley, whom he married on December 13, 1976; daughter, Pamela Denise (Dwight) Hannah; stepdaughter, Patty (Bill) Teagardner; grandchildren, Trever (Brittany) Hannah, Tyler Hannah, Crystal (Ronnie) Hastings, Gary (Lisa) Pettit, Josh Archey, and Douglas Teagardner; several great-grandchildren; and siblings, Glenn (Leona) Hinkley, Judy (Charlie) Cornell, and Sylvia (Vernon) Hawkins. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of church friends.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Danny Dodds officiating with burial to follow at the Highlawn Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the funeral home to help cover final expenses.
