Rene Elizabeth "Toby" Johns

RENE ELIZABETH “TOBY” JOHNS, age 66, of Washington CH, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

She was born on October 1, 1957 in Fayette County to the late Jackie T. and Vivian A. (Wright) Johns. Toby was a graduate of Washington High School and lived all her life in the local area. She retired from Thompson Consumer Electronics/RCA in Circleville where she had worked as an inspector. Toby attended Rodgers Chapel AME. She enjoyed watching old movies and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Toby was preceded in death by her sister, Jacqueline Johns.

Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, Theodore and Sherrie Johns of Chillicothe, special friend and sister, Ava Rollins Johns. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. at the Washington Cemetery with Darrell Harris officiating.
