Richard Dale "Dick" Dawson

RICHARD DALE “DICK” DAWSON, age 94, of Washington CH, passed from this life on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at the Adena Fayette Medical Center.

He was born on August 23, 1930 to Virgil and Hazel (Willis) Dawson who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death is his wife of sixty-nine years, Garnet Ann (Beverly) Dawson, his twin brother, Robert Dale Dawson, brother, Willis Dawson, and sister, Jenny Hughes.

Survivors include his children, Randall (Julia) Dawson, Ronald Dawson, Jenny (James) Makselan, and Richard, II (Patricia) Dawson; grandchildren, Jacob “Jake” (Erika), Robert “Rob” (Dawn), William “Bill” , Allen (Dawn), Scott, Amy (Rahmel McClendon), Kyler (Sara), Richard, III (Lindsay), Casey (Sarah) Dawson, Loree Goddard, Stephanie Makselan, Jennifer (Brian) Eggleton; twenty great-grandchildren; and sisters, Roseanne Burris, and Betty Miller.

After retiring from Mid-Ohio Chemical, he worked for the City of Washington. Dick also attended Heritage Church.

There will be a private graveside service at the convenience of the family with Pastor Rob Dawson officiating.
