Richard Grove Obituary

RICHARD ELTON GROVE, age 43, of Bloomingburg, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 as a result of a motor vehicle accident.

He was born on August 20, 1979 in Venango County, Pennsylvania to Richard Grove and Ellen (Funk) Miller. He was a 1998 graduate of Miami Trace High School. Richard worked as a mechanic. His family said he lived to fish and to be the best Dad that he could be. He was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Richard was preceded in death by his grandparents, Worley (Doc) Funk, Dallas (Shirley) Ingersoll, Jim (Terri) Ingersoll, and Linda Huffman.

Survivors include his parents, Rick Grove, and Ellen (Jim) Miller; his children, Albert Roehrich, Katy Roehrich, Brandon Mettler, Jeffrey Roehrich, Hailey Luster, Tabby Grove, and Zoey Grove; grandson, Alexander Mettler; his significant other, Jennifer Roehrich; siblings, Christine Grove, Jennifer Grove, Justin Grove, and Becky (Atlee) Arick; grandparents, James and Eleanor Shoaf, Jane Say, and Maxine Miller; aunt, Sandy (Randy) Thomas; and best friends, Brandon Fleak and Amber Hatfield.

Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of dear and special friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at the Summers Funeral Home from 4-6:00 p.m.
