Rickey Harold Penwell

RICKEY HAROLD PENWELL, age 63, of Washington CH, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at 7:45 a.m. at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

He was born on November 7, 1954 in Fayette County to the late Harold Lester and Betty Louis Young Penwell. Rickey had worked at Martings Manufacturing and the Yusa Corporation. He had been attending the First Church of God on Harrison St. where he had recently accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He enjoyed playing the slot machines, horse racing, and being with his family and friends.

Survivors include his loving girlfriend of twelve years, Penny Bellar; his son, Rickey Harold Kidder; grandchildren, Michael and Gage Mitchell, Kennedy and Brooklyn Terry, and Nevaeh Adams; brothers, Tim and Jack Penwell, nieces and nephews, Tim (Jacquelyn) Penwell Jr., Danielle Penwell, Heather (Jon) Reed, Missy Penwell, Shannon Penwell, Michael Keplinger, and Jason Knisley. Also surviving are several other great nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Jay Lucas officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. In keeping with Rickey’s wishes, cremation will follow his service.
