Rita Louise Hawkins

RITA LOUISE HAWKINS, age 72, of Washington CH, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025 at Cedarvale Commons.

She was born on September 11, 1952 in Fayette County to the late Russell E., Sr. and Mary L. (Wilson) Hawkins. She was a 1970 graduate of Miami Trace High School. Rita was previously employed at Walmart and worked in the clothing department for several years. She was a member at the Staunton United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking, collecting bears, music boxes, and coins.

In addition to her parents, Rita was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Eddy Ivers, and sister-in-law, Beverly Hawkins.

Survivors include her siblings, Nancy Ivers, and Russ Hawkins. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
