ROBERT BRADFORD “BOB” JONES, age 71, of Washington CH, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 2:27 p.m. at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
He was born on April 29, 1949 in Franklin County to the late Harry and Betty (Zirke) Jones-Clatworthy. Bob was raised in Upper Arlington and graduated high school in 1968. After graduation, he attended the University of Tennessee where he majored in marketing. Bob served as a district manager for “Sir Pizza” and managed three stores.
He enjoyed participating in dog shows with his Brittany Spaniels, hunting, and fishing. Bob was also a member at the Bloomingburg Presbyterian Church.
Bob married Jacqueline Sollars Jones on April 8, 1972. He worked for a local farmer after moving to Fayette County in hopes of becoming a farmer himself. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Bob was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm at the young age of 40 and was forced to spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair.
Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline Jones; his son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Taylor Jones; grandchildren, Henry Robert Jones, and Baby Girl Jones coming in May; siblings, Kevin (Angie) Jones, and Sue (Jim) Patterson; and step-brother, Robin (Susan) Gulcher. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of dear and special friends.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Burial will be held at the Bloomingburg Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
