ROBERT EUGENE “BOB” WILSON, age 72, of Washington CH, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at 9:20 a.m. at his home. His death was sudden and unexpected.

He was born on January 31, 1949 in Fayette County to Virgil and Dorothy (Cline) Wilson. He was a 1967 graduate of Washington High School. Bob proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. He had worked at Thatcher Plastics in Washington CH for 21 years and retired from General Electric in Circleville where he worked as a machinist. Bob was currently employed at Stark Truss Incorporated in Washington CH. He and his wife attended the House of Prayer Church on Washington Avenue. Bob was known for telling his jokes and silly stories so he could make people laugh. He enjoyed traveling to Maine, meeting a few of The Oak Ridge Boys including Joe Bonsall, Richard Sterban, and William Lee Golden, decorating for Christmas, reading his Bible, and being with his family.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in law, Charles Chamblin.

Survivors include his wife, Belinda Lou (Melton) Wilson, whom he married on October 7, 1995; children, Robert E. Jr. (Tina) Wilson, and Kelley A. Wilson; grandchildren, Christopher D. McIntosh, II, and Anna N. McIntosh; siblings, Cindy (Steve) Mongold, Donna Chamblin, and Brian (Tina) Wilson; mother-in-law, Linda Melton; and his beloved cat, Clarise. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of dear and special friends.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 7, 2021 with burial to follow at the Good Hope Cemetery. Funeral services are private to family only.
