RODERICK WADE CHRISMAN, age 66, of Washington CH, passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021 at 4:35 a.m. at Court House Manor where he had been a resident for the last two years.
He was born on October 15, 1955 in Wilmington, Ohio to the late Daryl and Mary Ann (Zink) Chrisman. He was a 1974 graduate of Fairfield Local High School in Leesburg.
Roderick was a resident of Jeffersonville and then Washington CH. He worked at the Colonial Stair Company in Jeffersonville and retired from Cortec in 2010. An avid hunter and gun collector he enjoyed deer hunting with his friends in the fall. Other hobbies included antique collecting, restoration and reselling. He attended local auctions, searching for unique pieces to add to his collections. He also enjoyed gardening and hunting for morel mushrooms in the spring.
Survivors include his siblings, Vincent L. (Mary) Chrisman, James C. Buck, and Cheryl (Ken) Keeran; nieces, Heather (Alan) Moore, Erin Keeran and her fiancé John Domanek, and Kendra Keeran; nephews; Kenny Keeran, Matt Hadden, Clinton Hadden, and Brad Porter; aunts, Delores Zink and Carlene Archer. Also surviving are several great nieces and nephews, cousins, and a host of friends from The Gathering Place Church.
The family gratefully appreciates the care from Court House Manor and ProMedica/Heartland Hospice.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor John Pfeifer officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
