Roger Eugene Talkington

ROGER EUGENE TALKINGTON, age 60, of Beavercreek, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at the Dayton Hospice House after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

He was born on December 11, 1963 in Montgomery County to the late Page Clinton and Judith Ann (Miller) Talkington. He was a 1982 graduate of Bellbrook High School. Roger was most recently employed at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton; he was also a highly skilled mechanic. He liked tinkering with old cars, working in his garden, and was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan.

In addition to his parents, Roger is preceded in death by several aunts and uncles.

Survivors include his children, Chrissie Shuler, Matthew (Mendi) Talkington, and Heather (Aaron) Drake; grandchildren, Wyatt Shuler, Grant, Ellison, and Tripp Talkington, and Stetson and Hudson Drake; the mother of his children, Margo; brothers, Michael Talkington, and Scott (Kim) Talkington, and aunt and uncles, Beverly Angel, Jim (Brenda) Talkington, Jane Talkington, and Debbie Amos. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
