ROGER VERNON STORER, SR., age 78, of Washington CH, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
He was born on October 6, 1945 in Greene County, Ohio to the late Ottie Ernest and Verda Mae (Rose) Storer. Roger proudly served his country in the United States Navy and departed with an honorable discharge. He retired from the YUSA Corporation. Roger went to night school to obtain his GED while working full time at YUSA. He enjoyed woodworking, watching old westerns, and he was also an avid Snoopy collector.
In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his uncles, Leon M. Storer, and William N. Storer.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Shirley Ann (Landenburg) Storer, whom he married on July 11, 1972; his children, Roger V., Jr. (Amy) Storer, and Krystal R. (Todd) Jackson; grandchildren, Roger V. Brown-Storer, Lilith P. Storer, Tabitha R. Anderson, Kathryn N. Berryhill and her fiancé, Cole, and Steven B. Jackson; and great-grandchildren, Emma, Ellianna, Evalyn, and Ensley Anderson.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Danny Dodds officiating with burial to follow at the Locust Grove Cemetery in Adams County. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
