Rosalee E. (Taylor) Funk

ROSALEE E. (TAYLOR) FUNK, age 80, of Washington CH, passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 5:20 p.m. at her home while surrounded by her family.

She was born on June 3, 1941 in Fayette County to Elton and Dollie (Wilson) Taylor. Rosalee was a stay-at-home wife and mother. She was a faithful member at the Bookwalter Church of Christ in Christian Union in Jeffersonville. Rosalee was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed reading her Bible, going to church, listening to gospel music and being with her beloved family and grandchildren.

Rosalee was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth E. Funk, whom she married on September 26, 1960; son, Kenneth E. Funk, Jr.; and brother, Roger Taylor.

Survivors include her children, Rose M. (Danny Skaggs) Riley, Dollie M. (Gary) Gragg, Martin E. Funk, and Eugenia L. Graham; 15 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; siblings, David Taylor, Frank (Ada) Taylor, and Mary Camp; and special sister-in-law, Nancy Taylor. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Chaplain Jeff Davis officiating with burial to follow at the Highlawn Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
