SANDRA KAY “SANDY” WILSON, age 68, of Washington CH, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at 8:43 p.m. at the Adena Fayette Medical Center. Her death was sudden and unexpected.
She was born on November 22, 1952 in Fayette County to Floyd Alvin and Mary Frances (Williamson) Pettit. She was a 1970 graduate of Washington High School and later received her degree from Southern State Community College in Medical Assisting. Sandy worked in Jamestown, Ohio with Dr. Kevin L. Sharrett for over twenty years. She was a faithful member at the Catawba Freewill Baptist Church in Catawba, Ohio. Sandy was passionate about her faith and walk with God. She was best known for hosting Gospel Singalongs at her home. She enjoyed cooking, sitting on her front porch, and being an “extraordinary” grandmother.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Noah Franklin Wilson, whom she married on September 4, 1971; children, Amber Renee Smith and Matthew Floyd Wilson; sister, Martha Pettit; and niece, Lisa Bowman.
Survivors include her precious grandson, Cameron Ellis Wilson; sister, Leona Curtis; and nieces, Lois (Frank) Williams, Shellie (Jim) Widdis, and Monica (Ray) Massie. Also surviving are several great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and a host of dear and special friends.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Evans officiating with burial to follow at the Highlawn Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
